The purpose of ACYHA's Learn-to-Skate Program is to introduce skating to kids before the regular hockey season kicks off. Our goal is to provide your kids with a great experience: one that offers an excellent and comfortable learning environment, where they feel encouraged and have a desire to join our successful hockey program!
No prior skating experience is necessary! Recommended age is 4-9.
The Learn-to-Skate program is included with the $50 New Mite Registration for the 2022-2023 season.
Program Details:
Generally, we have players ages 4-9 attending our Learn to Skate Program.
* After the four week Learn-to-Skate program, you may email the Mite Coordinator at MitesACYHA@gmail.com if your player does NOT want to continue with the Mini-Mite hockey season. You may re-register the following year for New Mite if your skater needs more time to commit to hockey.
**USA Hockey Registration is also required with our Learn to Skate Program. To see the USA Hockey Fee structure click HERE.
Participants are encouraged to dress in full hockey gear. Gear bags, hockey equipment, and a practice jersey with socks will be available for our new mites. See our Mite Equipment website for more info and to sign-up for your Equipment Pickup Time.
