The ACYHA Squirt B2 team takes 2nd place in District 3 End of Year Tournament.
After taking first in their division during pool play, the team entered bracket play with high-hopes. Their Saturday afternoon game against OMG Maroon was a nail-biting 3-2 win. Their semi-final game on Monday night was the second time to face the Orono White team, while less intense; it was still a well earned 6-0 win.
The team entered the championship game the only undefeated team of the tournament. The stands were packed and the fans loud. The game was exciting to the end. And though they suffered a hard loss, the team soon realized they were proud to take 2nd place in such a tough district.
A big “Thank You” to all the fans that came for support, to the families for their constant encouragement and a special thanks to the coaches. Most of all, thanks to the players for always working your hardest and never giving up. You can be proud of yourselves for being there for each other and playing like a winning team. This is sure to be a year to remember. Congratulations AC Squirt B2's for a great 21-win season.
