Student Workers

Email the Volunteer Program Director for the list of approved Student Workers.

STUDENT WORKERS

Busy families may hire a trained student worker to work DIBS shifts on your family’s behalf.

The family is responsible for:
1) Contacting a student worker,
2) Claiming the DIBS Shift,
2) Organizing an agreed upon schedule, and
3) Paying the Student worker directly ($12.50/hour).

Student workers are NOT hired by ACYHA.

How to Notify ACYHA if you have hired a Student Worker

The family claims the DIBS shift for the Student Worker.   You can decide whether you claim a shift first, then hire the Student Worker or vice versa.

1) If the name of the hired student worker is known prior to claiming a Dibs shift, enter the student’s name and phone number as the fulfiller in the DIBS system.

OR

2) If a student worker is Hired after claiming the shift, please email acyha.volunteerprogramdirector@gmail.com with the name of the Student Worker.

Note: If a student worker cannot be arranged in time for a shift, it is still your family’s responsibility to cover the claimed shift.
