Training Your Inner Athlete

A part of Loving Your Game is learning how to Train Your Inner Athlete.  The HDC and ACYHA Board believe that our players and our community can benefit greatly from learning what that means and how to do just that. Here, we provide some easy-access tools for you and your player(s) to get started. 

Our Hockey Development Committee Chair, Hans Skulstad, works with athletes on developing their mental game and, in the process, teaches athletes how to Train their Inner Athlete.  

The following series of videos will give you and your child an opportunity to discuss and learn more about what that means. The videos are no longer than 5 minutes and give you tips, tools, questions and exercises to help you use your mind to perform more effectively and consistently.  Although they build on each other, you can watch whichever you think would be most helpful.
